Easy Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water (110-115°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
- Slowly add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon or a stand mixer until everything comes together.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to preheat as well.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air and shape it into a round or rectangular shape, depending on your preference.
- Carefully remove the preheated stone or baking sheet from the oven and transfer the dough to it.
- Add your desired toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Enjoy your homemade pizza! Note: You can also refrigerate or freeze the dough for future use, just make sure to let it come to room temperature and rise again before using it.
