Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water (110-115°F)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
  2. Slowly add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix with a wooden spoon or a stand mixer until everything comes together.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to preheat as well.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air and shape it into a round or rectangular shape, depending on your preference.
  7. Carefully remove the preheated stone or baking sheet from the oven and transfer the dough to it.
  8. Add your desired toppings and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
  10. Enjoy your homemade pizza! Note: You can also refrigerate or freeze the dough for future use, just make sure to let it come to room temperature and rise again before using it.
